  • Product Description

If you don't already cook with a "trash bowl", you're missing out. If you don't know what we're talking about and we sound crazy, we promise it's a thing, and even Rachael Ray does it--  keep a mixing or other large bowl handy by your cutting board or prep station so you can collect food scraps as you go. We were ready to level up from the trash bowl and to get even more efficient, which is why we sprung for this handsome Mini Fallen Tree Countertop Compost Bin-- yup, its craftsman wood exterior is made from fallen trees.

The metal lid and bin are removable, so you can easily lift the light metal interior to empty or fill the compost bin. We love that it looks good enough to keep out on your countertop, and it's functional enough to move and cook with you. Let's be real, if a kitchen tool isn't within reach then it's probably not living up to its full potential!

Curious about how to use a compost bin? We broke it down on Instagram. And check out our guide to composting on Planet G for *all* of your composting questions (even just, what is it!?).

    • End of Life
      • · Gee, we hope you don't ever want to chuck this one. If you must, you could reuse the interior metal bin as food or waste storage, and the wood facade could be cut up and repurposed.
