The journey from start to complete sustainability is anything but linear, so we designed a little barometer to make comparing products easier.

Made of recycled metals and recyclable when you're done using it. (The general rule of thumb is that when cared for well, nonstick cookware will last you about 2-3 years.)

End of Life

· Each pan is packaged in 100% recycled biodegradable sleeves (made of sustainably sourced paper, with vegetable-based VOC-free ink and zero glues) and insulated with 100% recycled (and recyclable!) bubble wrap.

· When you're done using your pan (generally when well-cared for, nonstick cookware lasts 2-3 years), the cookware can be recycled anywhere that aluminum products can be recycled. Need help finding that place? We gotchu! Shoot us a note at hi@goldune.com and we'll make it easy for you.

Ingredients & Materials

· Ready to geek out? This pan is 100% made of recycled aluminum by the most state-of-the-art and environmentally conscious cookware manufacturer in Germany. How state-of-the-art? They've designed robots who catch any leftover coating that runs off or spills when each pan gets coated, so they can reuse every last bit. All that waste or spillage gets sorted and cleaned, along with the water, so water exits the manufacturer as clean as or cleaner than it came in.

·Wondering about that handle? It's made of recycled wood flour sourced from local forest farms! It feels soft and easy, like rubber. With a body like that, it's no surprise the bottom is sustainable AF too-- each pan has a 100% impact induction bottom that's highly conductive and energy efficient, so you don't waste energy or gas trying to get even warming or heat distribution. This pan is made for induction cooktops (our fave, because of their energy efficiencies and general sustainability), but will work on gas stoves just as well.
