A glass bottle of water has more power than meets the eye. Recycling a single glass bottle can actually power a reading lamp for 4 whole hours. (That's like one Harry Potter book's worth of energy).
We use over 28 billion glass bottles and jars per year–enough to fill up the Empire State Building with glass bottles every three weeks. Can you guess how many hundreds of years worth of power we could generate If they all got efficiently recycled? Whaddya wager?
